In just under a year, TikTok went from an unknown Chinese-developed app to one of the most popular social media platforms of all time.

That spike in popularity is due largely in thanks to the content creators who fuel TikTok with their homemade videos, trending sounds, and hashtag challenges. Who are the creators behind the fastest growing social media app of 2019?

Unlike the more established social media platforms, TikTok remains a mystery to many people. But just because it’s new doesn’t mean it’s not a revolution. It’s popular among Gen Z users and hit 1 billion global downloads in February 2019. Needless to say, it’s an app worth getting to know.
