Predictive analytics, unlike the previous two analyses, looks to ahead the future and is a bit more proactive with its findings. It attempts to forecast what is likely to happen next, and is one-half of what is considered “advanced analytics.”

Prescriptive analytics is by no means widely incorporated today, but as data science becomes more commonplace, we should see more affordable prescriptive options.
